April – May 2012...

Hello and welcome to Thirst for the 2011/12 academic year! We are here to make sure you are settled into the church, are being supported and importantly having fun!

Whether you are a student, on a gap year or just started working in the real world, we are delighted that you are joining us at Mutley and we pray that you will feel at home here.

Our vision is to see every student and young adult:

1. Welcomed and connected into the life of the church

2. Supported during their time in Plymouth

3. Helped to grow and strengthen their faith’

Jesus said ‘whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. The water I give will become in them a spring welling up into eternal life.’ John 4:14.

We pray that you will be fed and watered here at Mutley, so that you can make an impact amongst your friends, course mates, flat mates or work colleagues, and live out the gospel where ever you are.

We have loads of things going on this year at Thirst, and we would like to encourage you to get involved by serving on a team and joining a house group, so you can be part of the wider church family.

Thirst meets every Sunday (term time) at 8.30pm after the evening service downstairs in the Hurrell Room. We also do;

•Student lunches every Sunday

•Student mentoring scheme

•Talks aimed at practically living out the gospel and helping you to make the most of your university years

•Socials including food, film nights and quizzes to help you meet new people

•We are a hub connecting you into the rest of the church family

•Opportunities to join house groups and serve on teams

May 27 BBQ 4 – 6pm The Lodge Garden

In this final term, we will be looking at options beyond University. We will watch passion talks which encourage us to “carry the name” of Jesus where ever we go. Whether it be the work place, further education or another ministry.
